Garry Jones – Teaching Pastor

I’m Garry Jones and serve as the Senior Pastor at FBC.  My wife Lori and I met at a Bible Study in a mutual friend’s home and married in 1980.  We have two grown sons and both have families that give us six grandchildren.  We served four years as missionaries in Mexico with the International Mission Board of Southern Baptists (IMB).  I am the lead teaching pastor, set the purpose and vision for the church, and coordinate Life Groups.  I came to FBC in September of 2014 and have seen God at work in the church and surrounding community.

Robert Barger – Pastor of Families and Worship

I’m Robert Barger and I serve as the Pastor of Families and Worship here at FBC Rockville. I’ve been married to Julie for 20-ish years, and we have three children; Wyatt, Ava, and Mason.  I lead the music, and help to guide the educational ministries of the church, including leading our JV (middle school) youth group, which may be the most exciting thing I do with the church. I’ve been a part of the FBC Family since July of 2017, when God moved my family and me here from Lynchburg, Va. We’ve quickly grown to love the people of Parke County and our new home of Rockville.

Chris Blystone – Ministry Assistant and Youth Pastor

I’m Chris Blystone and I serve as the ministry assistant and youth pastor here at First Baptist Church Rockville. My wife Molly and I have three wonderful daughters, and have been attending First Baptist Church since 2014. I grew up a pastor’s kid, moving around the southern part of Indiana, before attending Indiana State University where I met my wife. I believe in challenging teenagers in their faith, equipping them to find biblical answers for the everyday questions they face in life, and fostering deep and meaningful relationships within the church to help lift one another up. I am excited about the things God is doing at our church, and thrilled that He chose me to be a part of them.
