OK, so February went by pretty fast and, I’ll be honest, I’m glad! Not too much snow, unlike last year; but a little too cold for my taste, like last year! So let us prepare to endure just a few more weeks of winter, because spring will be here before we know it. (I’ll be that person standing with my nose up to the window looking out to spot that first bit of green…C’mon 50 degrees! Sorry, I can be annoying that way! I digress…)
Here are the Coming Attractions for the month of March:
Sunday, March 1, at Noon, is a Special Business Meeting. It’s important you be there!
Wednesday, March 4, from 10am to 11:30 will be MOPS Small Group time. If you have any questions, please call Meredith Lund at 592-4405 as she knows all the biz about MOPS! You go, girl!
Tuesday, March 10, will be the first night for the new Ladies Bible study from 6:30 to 8pm. The study will be on Hebrews Chapter 11 and the study is titled “Sweeter Than Chocolate.” Books for the study are $10 (due 3/10) and you’ll need to sign up by Wednesday, March 4, to have a book ordered for you. Teen girls are encouraged to join too. You can find the sign-up sheet on the table in the foyer. See you there, ladies! Because chocolate! HELLO?! Yep, uh-huh…you know what I’m talkin’ about!
Wednesday, March 18, is another MOPS day! Busy, busy, busy! There will be a play date from 10am to 11:30am. See above for Meredith’s details if you have a question.
On Friday, March 20, the Youth will be going to Winter Jam in Indy. Each person needs to bring $20 for their expenses for the night. They will leave from the church at 4pm and will return around midnight. Each teen will need to have a release form filled out and returned to Derron Connor in order to attend. He will call parents when they leave to come home, to give a better idea of their return time…I’m thinking an early evening nap may be in order here…ugh, midnight….
Continue to pray for more Jr. Church teachers (must be church members) and Extended Session Childcare workers. The specific needs are listed in the church bulletin, so check them out! Contact Pastor Garry, Pastor Rick or Sue if you can help.
Last item…New phone directory information updates. Please turn in your contact info to Sue so she has complete and correct information for the church to reach you for the next year. When email addresses, phone numbers, home address, etc. are changed, it’s easy, in our busy lives, to overlook some who should be notified of the updated information. Let’s all help make this part of Sue’s job a bit easier.
