Here we are, marching toward spring! Aaah! My favorite season! If the world coming back to life and turning green and pretty doesn’t make you want to jump up and praise God, then I don’t know what will! What’s happening this month, you say? Read on and I will tell you….
There is a new Membership Information Class starting Sunday, February 28. It will meet in room 105 at 9:30 a.m. during the Sunday school hour. The class will run through Sunday, March 20. Contact Pastor Garry if you are interested.
Ladies, a new Bible study is beginning on Monday, February 29. We will meet from 6:30-8:00 p.m. and will be discussing the study “Jesus: Experiencing His Touch.” Books are $8 and all ladies and teenage girls are welcome to attend. See Lori Jones for more info and to sign up!
MOPS will be meeting from 10:00-11:30 a.m. on Wednesdays, March 9 and March 23. As usual, the first meeting will be for their small groups and the second meeting will be a play date. Hopefully, it will warm up a little bit for the play date to be outside! Have fun!
Parents Night Out will only happen once this month, so make it count! Saturday, March 12, from 6:00-10:00 p.m. is your chance for some adult-only time and conversation! Or maybe just some good old peace and quiet! Enjoy!
Sunday, March 13, will be a very telling day…if you forget to SPRING forward, you are going to be LATE to church and EVERYBODY is going to know! Set your clocks ahead before you go to bed or get up an hour earlier so you’re not THAT person!
Friday, March 18, hang out with some cool teens and the Blystones and head to Winter Jam in Indy! Information is in the bulletin or you can go to www.jamtour.com for all the details.
Looking ahead…the Women’s Retreat, “Transformed,” will be April 15-16 in Indy. There is some information on the foyer table or check with Lori Jones if you have questions. Even better, you can check the website www.scbi.org/transformed for all the latest news.
VBS is coming to First Baptist of Rockville this year!!! Mark your calendars for June 5-9, and grab your wetsuit and scuba gear!!! Molly Blystone and Natalie Newnum are heading the ministry this year and they want you to get ‘SUBMERGED!’ Be praying about how God is calling you to serve Him and the kids in our community. Say “YES to VBS!”
