WHAT’S GOIN’ ON?! Newsletter
So can you believe January has already come and gone? That was fast! What is happening in February? Well, as it just so happens, I’m glad you asked! Since it is winter, we’re taking it easy…not too many items this month. Here’s the skinny…
Of course we are still business as usual, even if it is winter! Each Wednesday there will be Kids 252 & Youth Group with dinner at 6:00 p.m. and study time for everyone (including you grown-ups!) starting at 6:30 p.m. Activities wrap up around 7:30 p.m.
The MOPS group will get together on Wednesday, February 10, for small group time. Wednesday, February 24, will be the usual play date. Both of the meet times will be from 10:00-11:30 a.m. Check with Meredith Lund if you need more information.
Since I’m talking about the kiddos, let’s go ahead and mention the Parent’s Night Out ministry! These will take place on Saturday, February 13 and Saturday, February 27. April Smith is heading this up, so she’s the chick in the know if you have a question about exact times or signing up.
Sunday, February 7, is our usual “it’s a busy Sunday with meetings and stuff!” The Council meeting will be at 8:30 a.m. and the Business meeting will take place after the morning worship service. Plan to attend and hear about what is going on so you can know how you can help get ‘er done!
Bible Studies! Ladies, you have two more weeks: Monday, February 1 and Monday, February 8 at 6:30 p.m. Don’t miss these…we need to encourage each other! Gentlemen, your weeks are Thursday, February 11 and Thursday, February, 25 at 7:30 p.m. No idea what the men do, but I’m sure it’s good! Get after it!
Last, but certainly not least!…Adam and Kaitlynn Overpeck are expecting a little boy! There will be a baby shower for them on Saturday, February 6, at 10:30 a.m. and ALL the ladies are invited to attend. Kaitlynn has registered at Target and Toys ‘R’ Us to give ideas about what they still need. Please RSVP to Kathy Keller if you are able to attend (and, between you and me, ask if she’s making that really yummy coffee punch, because it’s really good and I just KNOW you’d like to have some!…but don’t tell her I told you to ask!).
That’s it for this month…I told you there wasn’t a lot going on…just the basics. Winter hasn’t been too bad so far. Enjoy the down time, make some soup, and invite another family over for some good old fellowship! “Therefore encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing.” (1 Thessalonians 5:11)
