WHAT’S GOIN’ ON?! Newsletter
And just like that…it’s April! Spring is here! We have green buds coming up from the ground, green leaves starting to sprout, and sniffling and sneezing because of the higher pollen count! Yep! It’s definitely spring! Here’s what is happening this month…
First up on the list is a brand new 1-day Membership Information Class. This class will meet immediately after morning service on Sunday, April 10. A light lunch will be provided for those wishing to participate, so please contact Pastor Garry or Sue ASAP so they can get a head count for food prep. Usually this class meets for 4 consecutive Sunday mornings to cover the same material. If you have struggled to make time to attend and finish the class, this 1-day class should be a better fit for you!
With spring comes the very fun and exciting chore of spring cleaning! Yippee! Come join in the very fun and exciting time of Church Work day on Saturday, April 9 from 8am-noon! It should be very fun and exciting! (Not convinced? Say it with me…) It should be very fun and exciting!! (I know…humor me…) See you there!
If you are part of the Parents’ Night Out, you are in for a treat this month! There are three different opportunities to pretend that you are grown-ups that have lives apart from your children! Saturday, April 2, 16, and 30th from 6-10pm are your chances to make a break for it and run for the border…Good luck!
Don’t forget about MOPS! They will be starting to wind down with just a handful of meetings left, but you still have two opportunities this month to meet. Wednesday, April 13, for small group…and Wednesday, April 27, for play date. Start time is 10am and they finish up around 11:30…unless the speaker goes on, and on, and on!
On April 15-16, will be a Women’s Retreat in Indianapolis. There is info on the foyer table about ‘Transformed,’ or talk with Lori Jones for any questions you might have.
The Missions team has been giving out ideas each month to help you put together your Operation Christmas Child boxes a little at a time! This month their suggestion is to look for and purchase stuffed animals. All children like something cute, soft and furry! But taxidermy items excluded, please!….ugh!
Last up for the month is VBS! WooHoo! We’re only two months out and Molly and Natalie still have some holes that need to be filled. There is a workers sign-up sheet on the foyer table and there is a spot for you! The theme is ‘Submerged,’ so work on your dance moves by practicing the Swim and the Wave and drag that old wetsuit out of your closet…those air tanks are gonna be heavy, though…See you in May!
