In preparation for your visit, we’ve pulled together some Frequently Asked Questions to hopefully address some things you may be wondering about. If we failed to address your questions below, feel free to contact the church office at 765.569.3322 and speak to our church secretary, Sue Spangler.
What times are your services? On Sunday mornings, our schedule looks a bit like this:
o 9:30 Adult and Children’s Bible Study (Sunday School)
o 10:30 Sunday Worship
What is a service like? We have the best of both worlds, so regardless if you lean toward the contemporary or the traditional, you should feel at home. At our 10:30 service, worship is led by a worship team. Most often, you’ll hear us singing the songs of Chris Tomlin, Hillsong, \ and hymns led by the worship team.
How should I dress? In the Sunday service, you’ll find some people dressed comfortably and you’ll find most people dressed up a bit more (suits, ties, dresses, etc.). All that to say, we don’t have a dress code. Feel free to come in a way that will help you worship God the best.
Will I be asked to give money? You will have an opportunity to give, but we don’t beg or cajole. Basically, we see giving as an act of worship. If you want to worship in that way, feel free, but not obligated.
What “flavor” of Baptist are you? We associate with the Southern Baptist Convention, State Convention of Baptists in Indiana, and the West Central Baptist Association. As an autonomous church, our beliefs come from the Word of God.
Do you support missions? Yes, in a big way. We support missions through the Cooperative Program, in addition to supporting many missionaries and missions projects directly.
What activities are there for children on Sunday mornings? There are a variety of activities for children! For the youngest ones (new born to three year olds), you’ll find a nursery just to the left of the main doors as you enter the Fellowship Hall. For the Nursery-K, we have Extended Session and Children’s Church (1st-4th) during the Worship Service.
Can you give me a ride to church? Unfortunately, we do not have a church van or bus to pick you up. However, if you want to call the church office and let us know you need a ride, we’ll do our best to find a church member in your area willing to pick you up.
